Update 3 5-22 well i just spent about $30 on a 2 liter of tea, a small towel, toliet paper, socks, and a bento (premade lunch) and it was all relatively cheaply priced! It's completely true that Tokyo is VERY expensive. well i have the whole day to myself today because i didn't go to sumo. last night was the "welcome party" for temple students at some club. i went for a bit, and then i realized most people from the main campus in pennsylvania are defenitely party people. fourtunately i have met a few people like me, so that's good. i signed up to have a conversation partner with a japanese student, which is good because i haven't really talked to japanese people all that much yet. we're kinda segregated, that is us art study abroad people. our main teachers are all americans who dont speak any japanese. on a better note next thursday i plan on going to this free japanese class. hopefully that'll be cool (if i can figure out how to get there). im getting used to feeling student when talking to store workers and such. oh and for those of you whove seen lost in translation, i saw the game show host-guy on tv just now. well anyway i cant believe ive been here a week already!
