Update 6

6-6

well, i seem to has lost the stray wirless internet i was picking up, so now it will be a little more difficult to update this site and read emails, but keep sending them ^_^

[ the only thing dirty on this train floor are my shoes ]

[ this is the bus i take to school ]

well thursday i went to this christian college group. they met at a church, it was really interesting, the church was actually pretty big for japan. everyone was very nice and a lot of them actually spoke english but the speaker spoke all in japanese, so i didnt catch much of it. it was so wierd to hear the tune of songs i know with japanese lyrics, it was cool. i actually meet a few people, and we were gonna going to karaoke after but it was too late for me, i would've missed the last train. but hopefully i can hang out with them sometime, although the church is pretty far, about an hour away.

on friday mike and i went to shinjuku, one of the big areas in tokyo.

[ shinjuku has the largest cluster of skyscrappers in tokyo ]

[ this is the metropolitan government building, its one of the tallest in japan. its hard to tell but this building is very cool, it has a very sci-fi feel to it ]

[ same building ]

[ buisness men playing a video game, not an uncommon sight ]

[ one of the smaller streets in shinjuku ]

[ the famous "rocket ship" building, its pretty cool ]

[ a large apple ipod advertising campaign on the JR trains ]

on then on saturday a bunch of us from temple went to yokohama, the second largest city in japan. it was only 30 minutes away from the jiyugaoka station. tokyo has grown so big it has almost sucked up yokohama with it. tokyo and yokohama could almost be thought of as one continues gigantic city ]

[ one of the yokohama stations, this one is brand new ]

[ yokohama is right on water and actually has some wide open spaces ]

[ this is a five floor mall in the bottom of the landmark tower the tallest building in japan ]

[ going to the top of the tower, this elevator is the fastest in the world, we went up 69 floors faster than the elevator at ccs goes up 3 ]

[ very from the top, much of yokohama is pennisulas and islands connected with bridges. many of the landmasses are man-made ]

[ the mountain peak in the distance is mt. fuji ]

[ looking almost straight down ]

well we also went to yokohama's chinatown, which was by far the coolest chinatown ive ever seen, but my camera's battery died so i dont have any pictures.
