[ well, it's been a long day, an emotional rollercoaster. i've felt like like i had made the wrong decision when i first sat down in the airport, realizing that simple things like communication and reading wouldn't be the same. it also depressed me to think of all of the good friends i was leaving behind and the new ones i'll hafta make an effort to have. but as time went i began to feel better. positive and negative feelings kept going and coming. but the flight was problem free. ]

[ chikage and i went to kuyakusho, the ward office to get my "alien registration card" this was on the way ]
[ after the kuyakusho we went to 7-11 and got some food. this is me eating my fav sekihan onigiri, red riceball. ]

[ again, from the front of the apt. its so cool to look out of their windows to see the city living... it's like playing simcity or something. it so different, it's like you're a part of something because you can so easily see all of the activities going on. ]
[ i went for a walk that night, which really cheered me up. i just walked around the area immediately surrounding m+c's apt. it was so alive! people everywhere, on bike's, in cars, walking, entering the subway, waiting for the bus... this isnt even downtown. i cannot express how different living here really is. it is impossible to have the same kind of life here as one would in michigan. anyway i thought this sewer had pretty cool design, although this particular one was a bit dirty. ]

[ mike, tomoko, and i went apartment searching on friday, this is from inside of our tour guide's car. i have videos of each apartment we looked at as well. i may post those too. (probably not) ]
